“When curating the artwork for the Lincoln it was important that we focused on Northern artists and Northern Galleries, to directly support the work of artists living and working across the region today.
Inspiration for the business Lounge area was taken from the design and fabric of the Building itself with Celia Davie’s work created using fluid based materials, such as alcohol inks and epoxy resin which she manipulates by hand to produce paintings which are particularly individual, expressive and striking”.

Sabina Swan
Based in Knutsford, Sabina Swan paints with oils and predominantly favours palette knifes as well as variety of brushes in her practice. The artworks featured below are from her colouring the world series.
Lesley Oldaker @ Hope Gallery
Lesley Oldaker is a UK visual artist, represented by Hope Gallery in Hebden Bridge. Her work observes modern day society and explores through painting, the complex relationships, transient nature and purpose of random moving figurative groups and their interaction with the space around them. Her process originates from drawing, photographic and printing studies of large public spaces where there is a continual sense of movement of form within the urban landscapes. These studies enable her to abstract the essence of emotion, form, space and colour for the paintings.

Celia Davies is a multi-media artist and instructor, working from her home studio in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. Her visually inspiring work, is mainly created using fluid based materials, such as alcohol inks and epoxy resin. These liquids have properties which she uses to create totally unique pieces of art. The appeal of the inks and the resin, is that their pigments pool in unusual ways. When poured, they create fascinating distinctive patterns, which she manipulates by hand to produce paintings which are particularly individual, expressive and striking.
